Remember the purpose of a resume is to secure an interview. It is the primary tool you will use in your job search. To be effective it must point out your skills and abilities.

Check your resume before applying, making sure your resume contains the following:
    a) Outlines your relevant experience
    b) Shows your formal education - certificates/diplomas etc
    c) Shows your work history. It should indicate how long you held a particular position And your duties. (this points out your level of experience in a particular area of job responsibility )
    d) Supply References - It is important to provide as many as possible so that employers will be able to establish what level of skill/ability you have
